About Jireh Fountain
We say "UNASHAMEDLY", but it was not such an easy decision to add our Jireh Fountain Website to the AkukhanYa home site. AkukhanYa, and its divisions, is an education organisation based on Christian values. We are not ashamed of our believes and what we stand for, but we do not want to be pegged as a "For Christians Only" organisation either.
Since, the world does not not really tolerate freedom of speech or co-existing in harmony anymore, UNLESS you agree with "me or my world view". we had to seriously consider the implications of stating clearly and unashamedly our faith and believe system in the context of education and business environment.
Our faith is a joy and not a burden, a source of strength and not an obstacle. It is the foundation of everything we believe in - namely love for self and others. It is because of our faith that we have stuck at what we do and worked towards our long term vision and dreams, through the good and the hard times, especially the hard times. Having said that, our faith is also not something we want to bash you over the head with or expect special treatment for. It is purely the value system according to which we live.
That statement alone opens us op to criticism, as we are human and make mistakes, we say the wrong things in the heat of the moment, make wrong choices that we have to account for and will not always agree with people on how we should run our business. In the end AkukhanYa is a business and needs to be run on sound business principles, no matter what value system you subscribe to.
We could have kept Jireh Fountain as a separate entity, however, Jireh Fountain is also an educational website. It has the same vision as all the other AkukhanYa divisions...
Jireh Fountain is linked to the Ali's Travels website, as it has information on every country in the world - except it focuses specifically on educational resources, information and links that would interest other Christians or Christian organisations.
Like the rest of the AkukhanYa websites and programmes, it is in the middle of a major overhaul and upgrade. Another way of saying it is a bit messy and an unfinished work in progress.
What are we building...
